Role Overview

Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to manage end-to-end recruitment for our refining, exploration, and corporate functions. This role focuses on sourcing qualified Saudi nationals for technical plant and laboratory positions while ensuring compliance with Nitaqat and MHRSD regulations. The specialist will support SGR's growth plans by building robust talent pipelines for our expanding operations in the Kingdom.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor and will play a key role in fulfilling headcount plans for our gold refining and exploration projects. This position requires a disciplined approach to sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews for critical technical and professional roles.


Key Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the following key areas:

Technical Sourcing Strategy

The role develops and executes targeted sourcing strategies for plant operators, assay chemists, and exploration geologists using LinkedIn, Bayt, and TVTC networks.

Candidate Screening

This position conducts initial screenings and coordinates technical assessments with Hiring Managers to validate candidate competency for refining and laboratory roles.

Interview Logistics

The specialist manages all interview scheduling and site visit logistics, including security clearance and HSE induction coordination for candidates visiting plant facilities.

Saudization Compliance

The role ensures all hiring activities align with Nitaqat Saudization tiers and MHRSD regulations by prioritizing qualified Saudi candidates through Taqat and local partnerships.

Offer Management

This position prepares and extends offer letters for mid-level and technical roles, ensuring alignment with approved salary structures and HR policies.

ATS Data Integrity

The specialist maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System to support workforce planning and audit requirements.

Stakeholder Partnership

The role partners with Department Heads in Operations and Laboratory functions to understand technical requirements and refine job descriptions for better candidate matching.

Recruitment Reporting

This position tracks and reports on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness to identify areas for process improvement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of talent acquisition experience, preferably in mining, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record of recruiting for technical blue-collar and white-collar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi labor laws, Nitaqat Saudization, and MHRSD digital platforms.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and job boards for pipeline management.
  • Ability to coordinate complex interview processes involving multiple technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required for effective communication with candidates and authorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.


Preferred / Nice-to-have

  • Experience recruiting for precious metals, refining, or heavy industry in the GCC.
  • Established relationships with TVTC and Saudi technical vocational institutions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 HR documentation and audit standards.
  • Experience supporting recruitment for greenfield or expansion projects.


Success Metrics

  • Time-to-fill for critical technical roles is reduced by 15% within the first year.
  • 100% compliance with Nitaqat Saudization targets for all new industrial hires.
  • Active recruitment partnerships established with at least three TVTC institutions.
  • ATS data accuracy remains at 100% for all active and closed requisitions.
  • Hiring Manager satisfaction scores regarding candidate quality exceed 4.5 out of 5.
  • Successful onboarding of key technical staff for new exploration projects.
  • Zero compliance violations related to recruitment practices or MHRSD regulations.
