Role Overview
Saudi Gold Refinery (SGR) is seeking a HR Operation Specialist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to manage the execution of employee lifecycle transactions and ensure regulatory compliance. This role focuses on accurate payroll processing, government platform management via Qiwa and Mudad, and maintaining data integrity for our refining and corporate workforce. The specialist will support the HR Operation Manager in delivering efficient HR services to plant operators, laboratory staff, and corporate employees.
The HR Operation Specialist will report directly to the HR Operation Manager and will play a key role in maintaining compliance with Saudi labor regulations and internal policies. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of employee data, contributing to the operational stability of SGR's downstream mining activities.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Operation Specialist will be responsible for the following key areas:
Payroll Data Validation
The role collects and validates attendance, overtime, and leave data from department heads to ensure accurate monthly payroll processing for shift and corporate staff.
Government Platform Management
This position updates employee status on Qiwa, Mudad, and Muqeem platforms to reflect hires, transfers, and terminations within regulatory deadlines.
GOSI Compliance
The specialist submits monthly GOSI subscription files and verifies contribution receipts to ensure continuous social insurance coverage for all employees.
Employee Lifecycle Processing
The role processes new hire setup in the HRIS and manages offboarding transactions including asset return and final settlement calculations.
Record Keeping and Audits
This position maintains digital and physical personnel files to ensure all contracts and legal documents are current and ready for internal or external audits.
Employee Inquiry Resolution
The specialist responds to employee queries regarding payroll slips, leave balances, and HR policies within defined service levels.
Reporting and Analytics
The role generates standard HR reports on headcount, turnover, and absenteeism for management review and decision making.
Policy Implementation Support
This position assists in the implementation of HR policies and procedures by ensuring transactions align with current Saudi Labor Law requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR operations or payroll administration within Saudi Arabia.
- Proven experience managing Qiwa, Mudad, Muqeem, and GOSI platforms for employee transactions.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, wage protection systems, and end-of-service benefit calculations.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
- Ability to handle confidential employee data with discretion and adhere to data privacy standards.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required to manage government platforms and employee communications.
- Experience supporting industrial or plant environments with shift-based workforce structures is preferred.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience in the mining, manufacturing, or industrial sectors with complex shift patterns.
- Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle HCM Cloud systems.
- Previous exposure to internal or external HR compliance audits.
- Knowledge of Nitaqat mechanics and Saudization tier management.
- CIPD or SHRM certification is a plus.
